TAKING ROOT IN MAINEVILLE, OHIO
Good things
grow here.
A place for little hands to learn.
For fresh food to be shared.
And for a community to grow together.
WELCOME TO PORCHLIGHT PINES
More than a garden.
A place to belong.
At Porchlight Pines, we believe that healthy food nourishes more than our bodies. It strengthens families, connects communities, and inspires us to care for the earth. Through hands-on education, sustainable growing practices, and our Helpful Harvest initiative, we cultivate a future where every family has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.
Porchlight Pines is an emerging community farm in Maineville, Ohio, founded on a simple idea: the land can nourish both our neighbors and the next generation. We’re beginning with two connected missions—free garden learning and fresh food for local families.

GROWING WITH INTENTION
Good roots
take time.
We’re laying the groundwork for a farm that can serve the community for years to come.
- 01WHERE WE ARE
Lay the groundwork
Shape the programs, validate the site and budget, and establish the right legal and funding structure.
- 02NEXT
Bring the gardens to life
Build the beds and essential infrastructure, develop school and food access partnerships, and prepare to welcome people.
- 03THEN
Learn, grow, and share
Begin with manageable programs, listen to the community, and let what we learn guide the next season.
Our first focus is the children’s garden and community food access. A paid CSA may be explored in a later phase, with its own budget.
THERE'S A PLACE FOR YOU HERE
Help something
good take root.
A community farm grows through many kinds of care. Here are the connections we hope to build as the project takes shape.
01 Schools & educators
Help shape garden experiences that connect to classroom learning. We plan to welcome local schools through free visits once the garden, safety procedures, insurance, and scheduling are ready.
Visit requests will open in a future phase.
02 Neighbors & volunteers
Bring your curiosity, gardening knowledge, or practical skills. Future opportunities may include garden preparation, seasonal care, and helping with the harvest.
Hands-on participation will be optional for families. Volunteer roles and scheduling are being developed.
03 Community food partners
Help connect fresh produce with local households facing food insecurity. We’re planning a distribution model with community organizations that understand local needs.
Distribution partnerships have not yet been established.
04 Founding supporters
The first funding priorities are the children’s educational garden and fresh food for underserved families, supported by essential infrastructure and a financial reserve.
Fundraising arrangements are being developed. Charitable status and tax deductibility have not been established; online donations are not yet open.
Is the farm open for visits?
Porchlight Pines is in the planning stage. Public visits and school bookings are not open yet. Opening details will be shared here when the site and programs are ready.
Where is Porchlight Pines?
The project is taking root in Maineville, Ohio. Specific visit arrangements and location details will be shared when programs are ready to welcome people.
Will children’s programs be free?
Free access to garden education for children, local schools, and families is central to the mission. Voluntary donations may support future programs once appropriate fundraising arrangements are in place.
Do families have to help grow the food?
No. Participation in growing and harvesting will be optional for families. We want people to connect with the garden in ways that work for them.
Can I donate or sign up today?
Donations, volunteer signups, and school bookings are not open yet. We’re first confirming the legal structure, program requirements, partnerships, and budget. This site will share opportunities as those pieces come together.

Here we learn. Here we share.
Here we belong.
